Milestone’s Mobile Business Solutions used to partner the Green Skills Partnership

Milestone, the AIM quoted (AIM: MSG) provider of digital media and technology solutions is pleased to announce the Green Skills Partnership (GSP) is including both the Passion Project and Milestone’s mobile business solutions in its new initiative to get construction workers into jobs.

In January 2015, the GSP, with Carshalton College leading, won a bid for more than £300,000 to support the reengagement of unemployed construction workers. The project aims to drive growth within the Construction sector, supporting companies to grow and take on local, suitably qualified labour. This will deliver social and economic benefit to London. This programme is part of the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) project for construction and is a key project within the Greater London Joint Initiative Programme, funded by the CITB and London Enterprise Panel.

As part of the bid, GSP presented Milestone’s mobile business solutions as the method of ensuring both the individual construction workers and the construction sites are compliant. Milestone will be using our experience and technology in designing a bespoke mobile application that can be used to collate the relevant data and share it in real-time to ensure the efficiency and compliance of this project. The development of this app follows the Company’s recent work on the OnGuard product, which is specifically designed for the security industry.

The use of the app within the GSP is expected to receive widespread corporate exposure, not only helping the construction workers in this project, but also opening up the potential for the Passion Project along with the Company’s other products and services to be included in future bids and revenue streams. 

The membership of the GSP partnership is wide and varied with over 40 current partners from the public and private sectors including employers, Unions, training providers, local authorities and third sector organisations (Housing Associations).

As a member of the GSP, Milestone and the Passion Project will benefit from access to valuable funding opportunities and introductions, along with revenue streams related to job vacancies, work placements and learning opportunities
